The MSW On-line program offers Administrative Leadership on a strictly part-time basis. The Advanced Standing sequence is only eligible for BSW degree holders from CSWE accredited institutions and the Regular track Sequence is offered to students from different fields.
The deadline to apply for the Online Regular Track Sequence was February 1, 2009. We are currently not accepting any more applications. Check our website frequently for updates on the next cohort for the regular track sequence.
The next cohort of regular track will begin Fall 2009. Applications will be reviewed, those selected will be notified in Summer 2009 (Priority will be given to applicants who reside more than 50 miles from an accredited MSW program).
The next cohort for Advance Standing will begin Fall 2010. The deadline to apply for Advance Standing will be February 1, 2010.

The On-Line MSW Degree Program delivers the Texas State University-San Marcos social work curriculum using on-line instruction, web-casting discussions, and other non-traditional methods. This unique opportunity is an excellent choice for students who cannot easily travel to a university campus to pursue their MSW degree. The On-line MSW Degree program at Texas State University - San Marcos provides MSW education that is fully accredited by Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) from an established, highly reputable university. Courses in the On-line MSW Program are identical to the traditional MSW courses. The same material is addressed and analyzed but now it can be taught anywhere in the world via asynchronous delivery methods. Regular Track courses will begin in Fall 2009. Advance Standing will begin Fall 2010.
