Ms. Ellen Ostergren, LCSW
Ms. Ellen Ostergren, LCSW teaches online and is a part of the Texas State University Field education team. She holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Social Work from California State University Sacramento. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida with a designation as a Qualified Supervisor, allowing her to oversee social work interns earning their clinical licenses.
Past work for Ms. Ostergren includes direct services in mental health and health programs at the Veterans Administration in Florida and for the University of Florida/SHANDS Health Care system. She has expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and crisis intervention. Ms. Ostergren also worked at a systems level capacity conducting organizational development and systems redesign activities for mental health programs, Whole Health integration, suicide prevention, program management, administrative supervision, clinical supervision, and social work staff education. In addition to her work in health care, Ms. Ostergren has worked in school settings as a credentialed School Counselor in Florida and a credentialed Personal Pupil Services, School Social Worker in California. Ms. Ostergren is a former adjunct instructor for Saint Leo University.
